We’re back back back again for what weirdly feels like a never-ending season of All Stars, even though there are fewer episodes than last season. Maybe it’s just me and I’m experiencing a rough adjusting period to blogging every week- but though I’ve enjoyed this season a lot, Im ready for the finale. This week the queens did stand-up comedy routines and were joined by Muffin Top herself, Jane Krakowski. Whole grain low fat.

Miz Cracker won, Shea received overall positive critiques, Jujubee was given slightly negative feedback, and Miss St. Claire was finally sent packing. As I noted in last week’s blog, Blair had one of the most successful improvements in All Stars herstory from her original season, and we cold shimmy shake in honor of her achievement.

The chart is left looking very neck to neck. Cracker pulls ahead with 6, Jujubee has 5, and Shea has 4. If we look at total wins from the season, Cracker now has 3, Shea has 2 and Jujubee has 1.

My prediction that Shea will win remains the same. It seems more and more obvious to me with each episode that a year ago when this was filmed producers may have been open to Cracker taking the crown. The fans’ overwhelmingly positive reaction to Shea Coulee this season makes a Cracker win seem impossible now. It also would be very unwise given our current political to yet again overlook the same black queen for the crown. Shea has dominated and shown up and out all season, so I’m beyond happy for Shea if she does in fact win. I’m just thinking about Wakanda life we’ll lead with her as our new supreme.

Shea Coulee would be the 3rd winner from Season 9, making that the season with the most winners. She would be the first queen to win from Chicago. She would be the 10th queen of color to win (out of 18 total winners) and the 7th black queen.

YOU’RE A WINNER BABY!

There is not much more to list for this season, so why not turn to the next one? Who knows when it will film or air, but one of my favorite things to do is to make educated guesses about who will be on the next All Star season. This is not who I would cast if I were in charge (April Carrion would definitely be on that list) but rather who based on the casting patterns of past seasons I think is likely to be on All Stars.

There is an extensive list of talented queens (Willam, Courtney Act, Pearl, Carmen Carrera, Laganja Estranja) who we can immediately cross of the All Stars 6 list because they have either said publicly that they will never be on All Stars, or we assume as much based on their negative public relationships with RuPaul. Two other queens with the popularity and profiles that would suggest an All Stars run but that I will posit will not ever be on All Stars are Kim Chi and Brooke Lynn Hytes. Kim Chi has achieved massive success without needing the All Stars platform and isn’t a queen who excels in the acting and performance realms that factor heavily into the competition. It could easily be a detriment rather than a boost to her brand to do All Stars, so unfortunately for us I don’t see why she would. Brooke is now one of the hosts of Drag Race Canada, and I think it would look like an odd regression for her to return and be a competitor on All Stars.

This is all my conjecture since I don’t partake in Reddit or deep spoilers. Enjoy!

All Stars 6:

  • Shannel (Season 1, All Stars 1)
  • Sonique (Season 2)
  • Yara Sofia (Season 3, All Stars 1)
  • Trinity K Bonet (Season 6)
  • Kimora Blac (Season 9)
  • Asia O’Hara (Season 10)
  • Kameron Michaels (Season 10)
  • Vanessa Vanjie Mateo (Season 11)
  • Plastique Tiara (Season 11)
  • Jan (Season 12)

Other Possibilities:

  • Tammie Brown (Season 1, All Stars 1)
  • Pandora Boxx (Season 2, All Stars 1)
  • Jade Jolie (Season 5)
  • Laila McQueen (Season 8)
  • Peppermint (Seaosn 9)
  • Shuga Cain (Season 11)
  • Nina West (Season 11)
  • Scarlett Envy (Season 11)
  • A’Keria C. Davenport (Season 11)
  • Nicky Doll (Season 12)
  • Widow Von’Du (Season 12)

Not Yet but Possible in the Future:

  • Silky Nutmeg Ganache (Season 11)
  • Crystal Methyd (Season 12)
  • Heidi N. Closet (Season 12)
  • Gigi Goode (Season 12)

Some notes- Shannel and Yara Sofia seem like the most likely queens next from All Stars 1 to be given another shot. Shannel had some controversy with the production company after it was revealed that her segments for Secret Celebrity Drag race were cut, but I don’t think that will prevent her from being on All Stars. I also think it’s possible we could get another round with Tammie Brown, which would truly teleport me to Mars. Pandora Boxx also could be a possibility.

There are so many opportunities for queens from the newest seasons now like the Werq the World national tour and the Vegas residency, that it’s no longer a given that these queens will go on All Stars immediately after their season to keep their public profiles up. For that reason, I think we will have a few more seasons until we see Heidi N Closet, Crystal Methyd or Gigi Goode , the most popular queens from season 12, on All Stars. Silky Nutmeg Ganache seems an obvious inclusion to be on All Stars soon (they love having villains) but I think producers know many viewers need a long reprieve from her, so I am betting we will get her on All Stars 7.

Finally, the trailer below for the Drag Race Vegas show aired the very day I wrote this list. If that show really takes off and becomes a hugely popular VH1 reality series (I can’t see it happening but crazy things have), it could prevent Vanjie, Kameron, or Asia from doing All Stars. I’m hoping this show serves Drag Race meets Real Housewives realness, but it looks kind of boring minus the Kameron-Vanjie macking. We will have to wait and see!

Alirght my dears, another finale awaits and then we will have another season under our belt. Next week I will share my list of my favorite queens from Drag Race EVER. Until then- let the music play!
