I’m Not Angry, Just Disappointed: RuPaul’s Stats Race, Season 14, Episode 10

THOTS

• Worst snatch game ever (spoiler alert for the list later this blog). What a bummer

• Who the f is Dove Cameron?

• I did find the investigation judges gag to be funny and an uncharacteristically nice way to give constructive feedback.

• This season will never end.

CHART

• Everyone gets -2 for being in the bottom 2 except for Deja, who gets +2 for winning

• That means the chart pretty much stays the same, but Deja gets a huge boost

• She moves from being tied for 6^th, into a tie for 4^th, only 4 points off Angeria.

• What will happen points wise next week? No idea but in the past I’ve done +1 for lip-sync smackdown wins and -1 for lip-sync smackdown losses. We will see

• Welp nobody saw that coming right- last week’s predictions are of no use because nobody went home. This will very likely be the longest drag race season ever- which I like many fans am not super thrilled with.

• So how the f will the lip-sync smackdown work? So bizarre it’s with 7 and not 8- 8 would make for a perfect round robin. I think there will be 3 round 1 lip-syncs (2 pairs and 1 3 way). Then with the 3 that lose, I think we will get them all performing to the same song All Stars 6 last episode style. The winner of that will then be safe, and we will get one final lipsync to see who goes home. So all in all, we will have 5 lip-syncs.

• So who could go? The first look gives a lot of attention to the Daya-Jasmine animosity, and to Bosco.  

• I think Bosco is a misdirect and she will do well. Daya seems like a for sure bet to go, and if 2 go (which god willing will happen) I think in a twist it could be Jasmine (the right song can trip even the best dancer up).

• I don’t think they are insane enough to use the golden ticket twist ON TOP of the lip-sync smackdown twist, but I wouldn’t be shocked.

LIST

Top 5 Worst Regular Season Snatch Games

• #5-Season 10

Aquaria was spectacular, but Asia and The Vixen’s distracting and very not funny shtick overrode and upstaged everything else.

• #4-Season 4

Chad, Sharon and William were fantastic, but similarly to season 10, Phi Phi and Jiggly were so disruptively bad it dragged the whole thing down.

• #3-Season 12

Gigi was fun but not exceptional. Jackie Cox was the only other one who made any HA HAs.

• #2-Season 11

Silky was ok but not winner worthy for me. Nina was the same. I honestly would’ve given this to Shuga Cain. The rest of the cast was all useless in this challenge.

• #1-Season 14

Truly horrible- Deja would’ve been safe every other season except possibly season 11. I do wonder if the producers fixed it though (either through editing or more active sabotage). SO convenient to have a lip-sync smackdown just already organized for the episode after. We may never know the truth. Either way- was not a fun one.
