SO OLD WHEN SHE SAYS SHE’S VERSE SHE MEANS SHE IS BOTH HUNTER AND GATHERER: RuPaul’s Stats Race: Season 14, Episodes 11 and 12

Spring break trip to Miami. Wildly intense yet somehow not Covid cold afterward. Thus, we have a last-minute recap for the last two episodes. Enjoy!

THOTS

Episode 11:

  • Love her or hate her (I tend much more towards hate)- it was top notch wicked trickery when Daya offered to go before Willow, and then said, “Well I vote Bosco so now it’s tied”.
  • Jorgeous reading Bosco was pure art. She succinctly and clearly spilled all the Lady Camden-Bosco fight tea, and then added “and if you want to talk about track record, she was in the bottom 3 times in one episode”. Masterful
  • Gold Bar was meh. The “it’s chocolate” catchphrase was fun, but I wish they had used the twist in a more dramatic way and for a queen we care more about (sorry Bosco).

Episode 12

  • Poor beautiful Jorgeous was fully burnt out (and not in the Laganja way she likes to be).
  • Bosco is wearing on me, but “Ross- you’re not a top, you’re a blouse” was great.
  • Hot take- I would’ve still given the lip-sync to Jorgeous.

CHART

  • Angeria set the record! Even though Willow finally caught up, Angeria spent 11 weeks at #1 on the chart, making her the queen who has occupied the most episodes at #1.
  • Willow is finally #1 and did so without winning a challenge since episode 3. Angeria is in 2nd, and Camden is right behind her.
  • Bosco’s win puts her securely in front of Daya in 4th. Daya is bottoming hard in 5th– a full 4 points behind Bosco.

  • Ok so we did it Joe! We finally got a prediction right. I predicted last week that Jorgeous would go, thought I didn’t see Deja going too. Hey- a win is a win.
  • I think Daya will go this week, the producers having drained every ounce of bitchiness and drama from her possible.
  • Bosco, Camden, Angeria and Willow will be our final 4.
  • Who will win? I still think Willow, but Camden may have the next best shot! Wild- I would’ve never thought it back at episode 1. I will finalize my finale predictions next week!

LIST

The Final 5s Best and Worst Runways

A simple quick list of each remaining queens’ best and worst runway according to me- in order from the queen I enjoyed least on the runway to the one I enjoyed most. Cheers!

  • 5- Daya Betty

Worst: Holy Coutoure

Not flattering at all and she fell!

Best: Heart On

She’s a good seamstress, but her taste isn’t my cup of tea. This lewk seemed very her in a good way- and definitely fulfilled the prompt for hearts.

  • 4- Bosco

Worst: Shoulder Pads

So many black corsets and panties to choose from. This one stands out in that it in no way evokes shoulder pads, and also looks like bad x-men cosplay.

Best: Tutu Much

I was tempted to pick her chaps lewk but had to go with this one because she looks fantastic and it’s such a creative way to do tutu.

  • 3- Angeria Paris VanMichaels

Worst: Heart On

Angeria is always noteworthy on the runway, so while this was interesting, it disappointed me in that it wasn’t super flattering and also didn’t really fulfill the prompt.

Best: Sickening Signature Drag

She gave us flawless pageant excellence from the jump. Overall, she’s been stunning and exciting on the runway all season.

  • 2- Lady Camden

Worst: Heart On

I love that Camden has been both beautiful and extremely wacky on the runway. This one unfortunately was boring and uneventful.

Best: Chaps

It was temping to pick her glamazon prime or tutu lewks, but this one was so creative and presented in a wonderfully engaging way. Love her

  • 1- Willow Pill

Worst: Mirror Mirror

The hair is fun but the outfit isn’t very exciting, and doesn’t really fit the prompt.

Best: Spring Has Spring

Her Jlo and Chaps lewks are close runner ups, but this one showcases her polish, creativity and humor in one perfect package. Dare I say- she has charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.
